Our History

Since 1994 Great Commission Ministries (GCM) has been a registered non-profit, inter-denominational Christian discipleship ministry who trains and disciples pastors, leaders and missionaries in 66 countries across the world. We exist to come along-side Christian ministries maximizing the impact of missions and churches worldwide.

Our main focus is helping believers grow into disciples. One way we do this is providing for the basic needs of people like:

  • safe drinking water

  • medical treatment

  • supplies

  • humanitarian aid

  • emergency relief

By helping provide for their basic needs, in a long term sustainable way, we’re able to connect with and disciple believers as well as reach the lost. Discipleship is a long term calling so our initiatives are designed to be sustainable, reaching for lasting results. We believe when basic needs are met, we’re able to develop sustainable communities, built around the church, that can break the cycle of poverty and reliance on lifelong assistance.

We also believe mission fields are filled with valuable, talented and capable ministries that are called to a specific people group or region of the world. We partner with these churches, missions and individuals to hold up their arms as they contend for the Gospel daily. GCM is designed to pull together and mobilize resources to strengthen missions so the body of Christ is nourished and able to function effectively on the ground.
